Chris Dalyrmple founded the Gentlemen’s Corner in Pinehurst North Carolina almost 40 years ago. Chris relying on his personal affinity for bright color, the finest fabrics, and quality craftsmanship made the Gentlemen’s Corner a destination in the south for better sportswear, tailored clothing, and fine accessories.
In 2009 Chris partnered with Harrison Sasser and they opened the second generation of the Gentlemen’s Corner in Wrightsville Beach NC. As they continued to see success, Chris opened another store in Palm Beach Florida in 2012. Then in 2014 they partnered again to open our store on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Chris and Harrison wanted our store to provide a sense of nostalgia, and make the customer reminisce of their college days or days in Chapel Hill.
Our store has priceless memorabilia from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as well as various signs and items from Chris’ days in Chapel Hill as a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Chris and Harrison have done a wonderful job of curating a great selection of exquisite clothing that one would see in a high end menswear boutique while maintaining a comforting college town feel.
Harris Burgin, a former employee of Peter Millar is the General Manager of the store, along with the help of Jennifer Lanigan originally from Maine, she brings an extensive background in retail to make the Gentlemen’s Corner the only destination for fine menswear in the Durham/Chapel Hill area.
